Can you say that you are able to identify this hardworking young lady in blue? Well, truth be told, not many persons can but today, that all changes because you are in store for an inspirational treat as we share with you her story and why many may consider her to be a superwoman dedicated to getting anyone in tip-top shape to go after whatever sets their souls on fire. Who is she? Well, she is none other than the amazing Tricia Price, the mastermind consultant and founder of Millennial HR Services. Stay with us because we promise you that she is an inspiration to us all and at age 30, Tricia’s journey as a human resources consultant is one that we can all learn from. Her story shows us that even though we may not have it all figured out, we need to trust the process, remain humble and that with the right attitude, anyone can reach their true destiny and pave their road to success.

Tricia’s Journey

Do you know that one friend who you can always call and rely on for a second opinion? Well, to be quite honest, that’s Tricia and that’s how her awe-inspiring journey got started.

Just like on any other given day, Tricia was greeted with a request when a close friend of her’s wanted help with the sprucing-up of her CV for an upcoming job opportunity of interest. Sure Tricia was busy and had other things to do but being the type of person that she is, she inevitably said “yes” and began to impart her knowledge by making wrong things right, with regards to the resume. Tricia simply wanted to make sure that her friend would have a viable shot at her dream job with a solid written first impression but most importantly, that she wasn’t selling herself short. However, little did she know that this kind gesture would be the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey of being an actual human resources consultant to many others.

A few weeks later, it was brought to Tricia’s attention that her advice and recommendations were actually really good and it turned out that the resume was a success. At this point, Tricia had a huge “aha!” moment when she realized that she could actually make a living out of her natural habit of helping others. This seemed like the perfect business opportunity and direction for her to go in and quite frankly, It was! Her remarkable willingness of seeing others succeed was the perfect foundation of which she would build and develop the sole proprietorship of what we know of today, Millennial HR Services, a business driven by her personality and one that holds the best interest of its clients at heart.

At the time, Tricia was very excited to begin this new business venture and so she began to put everything in place. She went and got the business officially registered and one would think that with the perfect business idea and personality to match, the path would be laid for a smooth ride to success. However, no; things wouldn’t be that easy. Unfortunately, there was just one important thing holding her back- herself. Tricia was far from mentally ready and lacked self-confidence. Like many of us when we are embarking on a new endeavor, she had many doubts and without the immediate answers to her fears, she continued to question if she would be even able to succeed in her new business endeavor.

This lonely and aggravating mental battle continued for nine days and it was all beginning to get the best of her. Perhaps she should just give up and forget about it she thought but upon having a conversation with another close friend, she was encouraged to do some soul-searching and to remain focussed on all the positives that she possessed. This is when she realized that she was, in fact, being too hard on herself and that she had been completely overlooking the main reasons why persons used to come to her for business advice in the first place. Tricia possesses a Bachelors in Psychology with Sociology which enables her to display emotional intelligence and be able to relate to anyone, no matter their background. In addition, she also graduated as a top student within her Master of Science Degree in Human Resources Management and upon taking her solid educational background into consideration, it began to re-inspire her confidence and to change her negative perception around.

This life lesson showed Tricia that you must focus on yourself first before helping others and with her newly revised mindset, she was finally able to create and diversify her products with the real needs of her clients in mind. She started to soothe the silent screams of many of Barbados’ entrepreneurs and to be a guide in the development of promising employees with a full list of exciting services ranging from her initial rearranging of resumes and CVs, to taking on more active roles, such as facilitating stress tests to improve work-life balance, conducting business development consultations for both large and small businesses and by implementing her thought-provoking interview prep sessions. To date, her largest interview training session entitled, “Level Up” was a seminar-based event where she collaborated with Lola M Pop, Purple Pleasure Beauty Studio and Trident Cutz Barber Studio to ensure that individuals were not only well informed on how to verbally express themselves in the moment but also how to have that professionally clean appearance to maximize their chance of success.

Tricia was beginning to gain her momentum and she certainly wasn’t stopping there. She continued to be fueled by her passion and wanted to give back even more. Due to this, she then took to her alma mater, the Coleridge and Parry school to address a small group of young girls on the importance of public speaking and overcoming their fears as she once did. In addition, she had even decided to create her Instagram page to reach a wider audience and to her surprise, it was greeted with a huge number of followers in appreciation for her efforts of helping individuals to find work and to improve on themselves.

To this day, even though Tricia has been doing many great things with her new practice, many persons still haven’t had the opportunity to work with her and to actually know the personality behind the highly consulted page for vacancies and self-improvement. Well, allow us to tell you. Tricia is very down to earth but although humble and warm-hearted, she is firm, precise and more often than not, brutally honest, but you can trust that she knows her stuff and only wants to guide you in the right direction. As many of her clients say, she is altruistic, and for some unfathomable reason, she is not comfortable with persons being stagnant, underperforming or delaying their career ambitions when they have so much potential to do more. Invariably, she wants the best for anyone that comes her way and without a doubt, this desire for helping others is a main contributor to her rapid success.

When “Super T” is not out working one-on-one with entrepreneurs and employees, she still has her own life to live. She is a lover of movies, music, online shopping and great food, which sometimes proves to be a blessing and a curse because she hates to drag herself to the gym to work off the extra pounds. In addition, she is a recently converted motorsports fan, a Christian by faith, a life advisor to many of her friends and an introvert by nature. However, her new chosen life career is forcing her to be extroverted and to discover new personality traits about herself. Sometimes, this is challenging and uncomfortable for her but she continues to remain upbeat, open-minded and as a result, she’s certainly enjoying the ride.

Can you believe that she still has her day job along with doing MHRS? Well, there’s actually more because Tricia acts as a true inspiration to anyone who thinks that they can’t succeed because of their preexisting workloads. At the end of her long days, this superwoman goes home, puts her blue cape aside and takes up the additional role of being Supermom. She still has to find time to spend with her 9-year-old son and his demanding extra-curricular activities, homework, lessons and other interests that come with her being a responsible parent. What Tricia does is not easy but at the end of the day, that’s what makes her an inspiration to us all.

As she always says “To be better, you must do better!” and with that said, she continues to set high goals for herself and to rise to the challenge of answering every call for help, wherever possible. Even though “Super T” may sometimes buckle under the pressure of it all, she remembers that she is only human and continues to be driven by her initial passion of seeing others succeed. Locally, Millennial HR Services will continue to be a safe haven for many but in the near future, Tricia would like to expand the brand to both regional and international territories while maintaining the same level of professionalism and garnering meaningful experiences along the way. We wish her nothing but the best as she continues on her way to success.

Tricia Price, from all of us to you, “WE THANK YOU”!
