Were you ever at a party in Barbados and felt like the DJ knew exactly what the crowd wanted? Well, there’s a high possibility that it could have been none other than Barbadian born and bred DJ T.G. At age 31 and also a proud product of the DREAM REAL management team, he’s now the person to whom many surrender their soul for several hours of musical release.
With Tyson Griffith being his real name, it doesn’t take much to connect the dots to recognize the origin of his DJ title. He may be a simple man with a simple name but while on set, he’s far from average! In fact, he thrives where other DJs flounder. What makes him different is that he embraces the technical but authentic elements of the art such as live on set scratching, mixing BPMs (Beats Per Minute) to perfection and most importantly, understanding music as a behavioral science which makes him matchless in comparison to the others in the industry.

DJ T.G’s first ever stage appearance was at the Sugar Ultra Lounge for their annual Christmas party back in 2010, after being encouraged to submit a demo to his manager Matthew Ashby (better known as Fewwture). Was it a good performance you may ask? Well… let’s just say that he’s had better days. At present, he often reflects on these times with his 8 year old daughter in admiration of how far he has come today and continues to grow from strength to strength.
Beautiful article. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about this young talent and his journey thus far.
Really nice article! Barbados is full of so much talent, and I hope that DJ T.G goes on to pursue his dream of traveling internationally and representing our little rock. #246
Really nice article. I am not much for partying but I think the Local support is inspiring.
I absolutely love this guy. The minute I started to read the first line I knew exactly who the article was about. Tg is awesome. He knows exactly what to do to get a crowd pumping.
Great read and such an inspiration to look up too.
